Are you teaching world history this year? If
so, Blackline Maps of World History is one resource you definitely
don't want to be without. Created by Terri Johnson of
Knowledge Quest Maps, this impressive black binder is chock full of
approximately 240 pages of outline maps which follow a chronological
progression through four periods: The Ancients (5000 BC - 400
AD), The Middle Ages (400 AD - 1600 AD), The New World (1600 AD -
1850 AD), and The Modern World (1850 AD to the present). I was
impressed to have even found a map of the attacks on September 11th.
The binder format makes it super easy to find, remove, and copy any
map you need.
Newly revised and updated in 2004, Blackline Maps of
World History is a collection of four separate products sold by
Knowledge Quest Maps, and is offered at a 30% discount over the
individual prices of the separate time period map collections.
Each map consists of two 8 1/2 by 11 pages; one unlabeled and the
other with some features noted and labeled. Also included are
suggested lesson plans for studying each map and the associated time
period. All you need to begin studying is a map, globe or
atlas, some crayons or other art supplies, and your history books!
Assemble your completed maps in a notebook and you have a lovely
keepsake which you can add to for years to come. There is sure
to be a map here for every historical period you need to cover - and
then some!
Creator Terri Johnson and her family started
Knowledge Quest in the summer of 2001. A primary teacher,
Terri was never satisfied with the selection of outline maps she
found. After identifying the need for quality blackline
masters, she decided the solution rested with her....and so became
Blackline Maps of World History.
Our homeschool program has been blessed by the
addition of Blackline Maps of World History. Yours will too if
you visit
www.knowledgequestmaps.com. You can also email Knowledge
Quest at
inquiries@knowledgequestmaps.com, write to them at P.O. Box 474,
Boring, OR 97009-0474, or phone them at 503-663-1210.
Blackline Maps of World History retails for $39.95 from the
publisher. Additionally, the sets of the four individual time
periods are available from the publisher at a cost of $14.90 each,
and a CD rom version of Blackline Maps of World History is now
available at a cost of $29.95.
